Some places become important because of what they were. Others become important because someone believes strongly enough in what they could become. We are grateful to Empire of The Seed, LLC for supporting The Lighting of the Oak 2026 as an Art Nouveau Sponsor.

Empire of the Seed understands something we hold very close at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum: preserving the past is not about keeping it frozen in time. It is about giving history the opportunity to continue shaping the future. Through the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings and the support of creative and cultural activity in Lake Charles, Empire of the Seed has helped breathe new life into places that hold our community’s stories.

That kind of stewardship enriches all of us.

Thank you for believing in the importance of our shared history and for helping us celebrate the creative spirit of Southwest Louisiana beneath the branches of the historic Sallier Oak. 🌿
