Meet our new Associate Director - Ta’Mya Davis! Ta’Mya brings a deep passion for student ministry, a heart for service, and a strong connection to the McNeese community. A proud alumna of McNeese State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in Spanish and Writing, as well as an Associate of Science in Behavioral Sciences. She also earned certification in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). In 2025, Ta’Mya was named Miss McNeese.

While at McNeese, she cultivated a strong
presence within both the student body and campus faith communities. Previously, Ta’Mya served for two years as Vice President of the McNeese BCM, where she played a key role in leading ministry efforts, organizing campus outreach, and developing student leadership.

Justin Baird will serve as the next Director of the McNeese BCM. Justin and his family join the Lake Charles community from East Texas, where he has served for the past three years as Director of the Baptist Student Ministry at Kilgore College.

Justin attended Francis Marion University of Florence, SC, for his undergraduate career, where he earned bachelor's degrees in Mass Communications and Modern Languages. During his time there, Justin was active in the BCM, serving on the leadership team and as an intern. He obtained his Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. While in seminary, Justin was involved in international student ministry at the University of New Orleans.

Justin and his wife, Shelby, have been married for 10 years. They grew up in South Carolina and met on a BCM mission trip. Shelby and Justin have two children: a 7-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son.
