Reminder: Friday is a teacher in-service day, so students will not report to campus. Fall Break is Monday and Tuesday, and we’ll welcome students back on Wednesday, October 15.

Simon Youth Foundation celebrates 30,000th graduate milestone "Reaching 30,000 graduates is a powerful testament to the impact of our mission and the strength of the students we serve," said Deborah Simon, S*F board chair/CEO.

Congratulations to our 56 graduates from Simon Youth Academy Prien Lake and Calcasieu Parish. We are proud of you 🎓

We're so proud of our seniors who will be graduating from the Calcasieu Parish Alternative Sites this evening. Great job to these students on all of their accomplishments! 🎓

Just a friendly reminder that while Monday, March 10 is a teacher in-service day, it's also a virtual learning day for students. 💻

This change was made earlier this year to make up for time lost due to weather days. The virtual learning will look different depending on school and grade, and schools will facilitate this directly with students and families.

We look forward to seeing our students back on Tuesday, March 11!

All Calcasieu Parish School Board schools and facilities will now be closed through Wednesday, January 22, due to the winter weather. This decision is in the best interest of safety for everyone. As this storm develops and we are able to assess buildings, we will keep you informed as to the status of school on Thursday, January 23. Stay warm and enjoy the snow!

With the confidence that is now present in the upcoming winter weather forecast, we will be closing all CPSB schools and facilities on Tuesday, January 21.

The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our primary focus, and we feel that closing schools is in their best interest. District leaders discussed the possibility of making Tuesday a virtual day for students, however we know the rarity of snow here in Southwest Louisiana, and it was important to us to allow our students and families to truly enjoy it.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions and will provide an update to families as to the status of school on Wednesday by Tuesday at 5 p.m. Please stay tuned to CPSB’s website, social media channels, and local media outlets in the coming days.
