Saying goodbye after the Chorus concert is always an emotional experience for GPGC students.

Following tradition, GPGC alumni are invited on stage to sing the last two special songs with students before everyone disperses across Louisiana: Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening (the famous poem by Robert Frost), and The Impossible Dream (composed by Mitch Leigh with lyrics by Joe Darion for the 1965 Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, which was inspired by the 17th century novel Don Quixote by Cervantes.)

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy our performances, and to all GPGC students, families, faculty and staff for another wonderful summer!

Art work by GPGC Drawing students is currently displayed in the lobby of Bulber Auditorium at McNeese State University, TONIGHT (Friday 7/24) and Saturday ONLY!

It is also your last chance to see their fabulous musical theater production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, based on an unfinished Dickens novel. Show starts at 7pm (doors 6:45) with a 15-minute intermission before Act 2. This is a fun show!

TOMORROW (Saturday 7/25) at 2:00pm, please join us for our last performance of the summer: the Chorus and Mixed Ensemble concert, also at Bulber Auditorium.

All events are free and open to the public.

Psst... here's a little sneak peek of the GPGC musical theatre production, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, playing TONIGHT (Thursday 7/23) and Friday 7/24 at Bulber Auditorium on the McNeese State University campus.

It is a fun and interactive show based on an unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. Come out and show your support for these amazing students!

TONIGHT (Wednesday 7/22) is opening night!

The GPGC is proud to present our summer musical production, The Mystery of Edwin Drood by Rupert Holmes. It is based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel, and the audience gets to choose the outcome of the story!

The kids have done an amazing job and are excited to share this performance with you. Please join us!

This summer, first year Humanities students had the opportunity to study Plato (The Republic), exploring core values of society such as justice and ethics. They recently related these ideas to their study of Shakespeare's famous play Julius Caesar, which addresses themes such as loyalty, duty, and how ambition and power affect governance.
