🎯 “Be Focused” at “Be Elite” Summer Camp! 🎯 - week 3

Today, our campers were inspired by an incredible message from Dr. Ann Pitre, who challenged them to understand the importance of staying focused in school and in life.

Dr. Pitre captivated our students with a thought-provoking presentation that kept them fully engaged from beginning to end. She then brought her lesson to life with a fun game of Simon Says, where students had to carefully listen and follow instructions. Just when they thought they had it figured out, she added music to create distractions! The activity had everyone laughing while teaching a powerful lesson about maintaining focus even when distractions are all around us.

Most importantly, Dr. Pitre equipped our campers with simple, practical strategies they can use in the classroom to improve their concentration, follow directions, and achieve academic success.

This week, our students have been focusing on the theme "Be Focused" as they learn about the importance of good study habits, organization, and perseverance.

🌟 Focus Today, Succeed Tomorrow! 🌟

On Friday Mr. Martin, graced us with his presence to do the “Magic Milk Science Experiment” at the “Be Elite” Summer Camp. This week our theme was “Be Curious”

In this experiment, you add drops of food coloring to milk and then touch the surface with a cotton swab dipped in dish soap. The colors quickly swirl and move around, creating a colorful display. The kids loved it 😍

On Friday, we commemorated our weekly theme 'Be Confident' with an inspiring visit from acclaimed author Mr. Xavier Thomas, my former student from Charter Schools who empowered students to tap into their legacy and purpose grounded in faith, distributing and autographing books that left them with a renewed sense of hope and determination.

Tomorrow at Elite Summer Camp, Mr. Xavier Thomas will inspire us to unlock our true potential by embracing our unique identities and strengths, fueled by faith and confidence.
