Juneteenth marks a significant moment in American history and serves as a time to honor freedom, reflect on our nation's past, and recognize the ongoing pursuit of equality and opportunity for all.

As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to reflect on the lives of the brave servicemen and women who sacrificed everything for our freedom. Today and always, we remember and honor them.

Congratulations to Karissa LaLonde on an incredible accomplishment! Not only did she graduate at the top of her class at LaGrange High School, but she also earned an Associate of General Studies degree from McNeese State University with a concentration in Behavioral Science.

LaGrange High School would like to take a very special moment to recognize and celebrate our very own, Brenda Sullivan.
Mrs. Sullivan, a Paraprofessional, is retiring this year with over 25 years in the school system, and within those years, she has served LaGrange for 19 years. She has also served as a Personal Care Attendant for Direct Care (16 years) and as a Direct Care Attendant for CARC (13 years). She has volunteered with Moss Bluff Buddy Ball for over 25 years, where she supports athletes with special needs, ensuring they can play safely and enjoy themselves.
“I took care of my Mother in 2002 when she had cancer. After she passed, my friend needed specific care for her child in a school setting, and I’ve been taking care of others as a Paraprofessional ever since. My family has supported me in everything I do, and everyone and every student I’ve worked with will always have a special place in my heart.”

PBIS Student vs Teacher Basketball Game! 🏀

The PBIS Student vs Teacher Basketball Game was held today, and the champs are… THE TEACHERS! Winning in one of the closest and best games in recent history, the final score was 59 to 60. After the intense game, students had a chance to make a free throw for snacks & earn points for their class . The winning class was… the Sophomores! Congratulations everyone, and thank you to all volunteers that made this event possible. GO GATORS! 🐊

The University Program wrapped up this year with the Senior Awards Banquet, celebrating the top 5 LaGrange graduates being University Program students at the LaGrange Graduation Ceremony, and with academic & class awards day for our 9th - 11th graders. We are proud of all of “U”!
