We're proud to recognize Louisiana’s students with disabilities and the families, educators, and service providers who support their success.

Thanks to their hard work, Louisiana students with disabilities outpaced the national average for achievement and growth on the most recent Nation’s Report Card. Their progress shows what’s possible as we continue working toward greater outcomes for all students.

Our spectacular President Elect, Jacie Bergeron attended the 2025 ASHA Conference in Washington, DC! We are excited to get her great presenter recs for our future SPALS Conferences!

Lots of school districts in Region 2 participated in Buster Brown Day at the Louisiana State Fair in Baton Rouge on October 28th. Over 2000 SWDs and their families enjoyed a day at the fair ❤️

So much respect for these ladies who have served on the SPALS board for many years!
