Our SJ Welsh STEM program will be selling individual bags of pre-popped popcorn for $3 a bag to raise money for STEM materials. Flavors will range from caramel, vanilla, kettle corn, white cheddar and more! Students will be able to purchase this delicious popcorn on campus starting this week. Help support this program and buy some yummy snacks!

Sheriff Stitch Guillory and the CPSO Youth & DARE Division are excited to host the 2026 Fall Junior Deputy Academy for students in 6th–8th grades!

During this six-week program, Junior Deputies will get a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement while learning about leadership, teamwork, integrity, good citizenship, and the many roles CPSO deputies serve in our community. 🚔

📅 First Class & Meet and Greet: Saturday, September 26
📍 CPSO – 5400 E. Broad Street, Lake Charles
⏰ Meet & Greet: 8:30 a.m. | Class begins: 9:00 a.m.
👨‍👩‍👧 A parent or guardian must attend the Meet and Greet.

Throughout the academy, students will experience different areas of CPSO, including Patrol, Dispatch, RTCC, Digital Forensics, K-9, Corrections, Marine Division, Community Services, ACT-Team, emergency vehicle technology and more!
