McNeese is home to many students and faculty from Nepal who bring tremendous warmth, culture and vibrance to our campus community. We are heartbroken by the catastrophic flooding in their home country and know the grief and worry they are experiencing for their families, friends and communities must be overwhelming.

During this difficult time, we want our Nepalese students and faculty to know that they are not alone. We encourage anyone who is struggling, needs support or simply needs someone to talk to, to reach out to the McNeese Counseling Center. Our campus community stands with you and holds the people of Nepal in our thoughts.

Join us with Wayne Toups at this year's first Cowboy Block Party on Friday, Aug. 28, inside the Townsley Law Arena. The concert starts a 7:00 p.m. but the doors open at 6:00 p.m., so grab your cowboy hat, dancing shoes and mark your calendars!

Chozen Hall Offices Temporarily Relocating to Parra Ballroom:
Due to a water leak in Chozen Hall, offices located in the building will temporarily transition their operations to Parra Ballroom, located in the New Ranch/Old Student Union Annex, beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

The following offices will be available to assist students in Parra Ballroom until further notice:
- Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Registrar’s Office
- Student Central
- Advising
- Admissions
- International Advising
- Dual Enrollment

To help facilitate this temporary operational change, parking spaces will be reserved in the Library parking lot for staff who are assisting with these operations.

We will provide further updates on future operations as soon as more information is available.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this situation and make the necessary adjustments to minimize disruption to our students and campus community.
