Did you know our Saints Transitions students have opportunities to learn alongside their peers in general education classrooms? 🧡💙

While each student’s schedule is individualized to meet their unique goals and needs, our Special Saints benefit from inclusive learning experiences throughout our campus, building skills, exploring interests, and being an active part of the ✨SAINTS✨ community. 😇

This week, Ms. McHale’s Family & Consumer Sciences class is learning about the history of food! FACS counts as a Career & Technical Education (CTE) course toward their Certificate of Achievement pathway.

Sometimes the best learning happens through play! 🧩🤗

During free time today, Simon and Sebastian chose a game of Jenga, turning a fun break into an opportunity to practice important social skills!! They worked on taking turns, paying attention, waiting patiently, and staying engaged with one another as they carefully built their tower. 🧱🗼

In our classroom, even free time can be a chance to build skills for everyday life, one block at a time! 💙🧡

Back to school means getting back into our routines! 💙🧡

Our students have jumped right back into meaningful daily responsibilities: raising and lowering the flag each day 🇺🇸, watering and caring for plants 🪴, and collecting recycling around campus. ♻️

These may seem like simple tasks, but they provide real-world opportunities to practice important life skills like responsibility, independence, following routines, completing multi-step tasks, and taking pride in caring for our school community.

Small routines. Big skills. Growing SAINTS every day. 🫶🏼
