Not a piece of trash on the ground, nor a cabinet door left open thanks to Conner-man 😎
Congratulations to Conner, our May Good Deed Saint!!
After lunch, while heading to class, Conner noticed trash on the ground and didn’t hesitate to take action. Even though no one asked him to help and the mess wasn’t his, he stopped, picked it up, and threw it away simply because he wanted to make a difference. 💙🧡
Conner’s kindness, responsibility, and initiative are a great example of what it means to take pride in our school community. Small actions can make a big impact, and Conner showed true leadership through his thoughtful act of service. 👏🏽👏🏽 Way to go, Conner!

SAINTS continued practicing important real-world life skills during an off-site activity at Pizza Artista. 🍕🍕They were evaluated on waiting in line, choosing from a menu, ordering food, paying at the register, and listening carefully for their name to be called. 💪
While waiting, students also worked on peer interaction and social engagement by playing games together on their coloring sheets. Who knew lunch could be so educational?

Final exams full of meaningful life skills! 💙🧡
SAINTS spent the day off-site at the McNeese State University Catholic Student Center, where they practiced real-world skills in a full kitchen environment. As part of their evaluation, students took turns cooking bacon, scrambling eggs, baking biscuits, practicing kitchen safety, and cleaning up.
The best part? Sitting down together to enjoy the meal they prepared themselves. 🍳🥓🥐 We even saved Fr. Paul a box to-go. 🫶🏽 Thank you for having us a 3rd year!!
Our Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us!!

Another day of final exams looked a little different for our Transitions classroom SAINTS! 🎨🖌️
At the Art Factory, students were evaluated on extended engagement, following multi-step directions, and working with a new teacher in a new environment. They created colorful tissue paper collages using glue techniques and designed their own stamps with foam sticker cutouts and ink printing.
It was a meaningful day of creativity, learning, and growth as students demonstrated focus, flexibility, and independence through hands-on experiences. 💙🧡

Learning beyond the classroom ☕️💙
For their final exam, our Transitions SAINTS took on real-world skills at The Buzz Coffee and More - evaluated on waiting in line, choosing from a menu, ordering, and paying for their meals.
But the sweetest part came after lunch with friends, when they decorated coffee sleeves with bright, encouraging messages to spread kindness to every customer!! 🫶🏽
Today was about more than breakfast and a final exam. It was about confidence, communication, independence, and sharing joy with others. ✨ Best test ever. 📝
Bonus: Our fresh 🧡alumni💙 joined us. What a treat!!

I spy some SAINTS 💙🧩🧡
From First Steps to Caps and Gowns! 🎓✨
We are bursting with pride today as we celebrate some very special milestones. Several of our former clients are officially members of the Class of 2026, and we couldn't be more thrilled!
While most of these incredible young adults are walking across the high school stage this month, we also have a massive shout-out for one of our alumni who just graduated from college and is already headed off to grad school!
A Journey Years in the Making
At St. Nicholas Center, we had the privilege of being there for many of their "firsts" and milestone moments when they were little. Seeing them now—grown, confident, and ready to take on the world—is the greatest reward we could ask for.
To the Parents
Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s care during those formative years. It has been an honor to be a small part of your family's story.
To our Graduates
Whatever your future holds, we know you’ll do amazing things. We wish you endless success and happiness in this next chapter!
