Kennis concludes his journey around Ralph Wilson this week with Ms. Ford. Ms. Jones stated, “Ms. Ford has been an amazing mentor teacher and is very passionate about pouring knowledge and love into her students. ***Update: Cypress Cove will remain closed on May 8.

All CPSB schools and facilities will open as normal tomorrow, May 8, with the exception of Cypress Cove Elementary. We are still experiencing a power outage on campus and will provide an update to families later this evening. All other CPSB campuses have been assessed, and we are excited to welcome our students, faculty, and staff back tomorrow.

After participating in several weather briefings today and consulting with local meteorologists, we are concerned about heavy rainfall overnight and into the morning hours potentially causing localized flooding. All CPSB schools and facilities will be closed tomorrow, May 7, due to these concerns. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is the primary focus, and closing school is in their best interest. We plan to open as normal on Thursday, May 8.

Ms. Jones is the lucky recipient of Kennis this week. Mr. Duckworth appreciates the support she provides students and her colleagues. He stated she can always put a smile on her peers’ faces. Keep shining, Ms. Jones!

Our 3rd grade students are learning the difference between Area & Perimeter by using life-size models! Thank you, Ms. Julian, for thinking “outside the box” in your Math classes.
