Today's back-to-school reminder is about our student dress code. Students may wear uniform-style pants, skirts, shorts, skorts, or jumpers in khaki, navy, or black. Blue jeans and black jeans (pants only) are also allowed. Please remember that blue jean shorts and black jean shorts are not permitted. Skirts, shorts, skorts, and jumpers must be no shorter than three inches above the knee. You can find the complete dress code and uniform guidelines in the 2026-2027 Code of Conduct: www.cpsb.org/our-district/policies

Clear communication with our families is important to us. To help easily recognize updates from the district, all CPSB text messages will continue to come from the following numbers and will begin with “CPSB”:
General messages: 337-243-6499
Emergency messages: 337-243-6530

We recommend saving these numbers in your phone as “CPSB” or under your child’s school name so you can quickly identify texts from the district. These numbers are used only for text messages. Phone calls will continue to come from your school’s main phone number or the district's number. Federal regulations require separate numbers for mass text messages and voice calls.

If you are a parent or guardian who needs assistance receiving CPSB messages, please email [email protected].

The Student Progress Center is a valuable resource for parents and guardians. In addition to viewing grades, families can use the site to review and update important student information. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we ask all parents to log in and make sure their contact information is accurate. Phone numbers can be updated directly in the Student Progress Center. Any address changes must be made through your student’s school. If you have questions or need assistance accessing the Student Progress Center, you can contact your child's school directly or send an email to [email protected]. https://jcampus.cpsb.org/progress

If needed, delayed start procedures are in place in the district. During a delayed start, the school day will begin at 10 a.m. Students who ride a bus will need to be at bus stops two hours after normal pick-up times. Families will receive updates through phone calls and/or text messages, our website, social media, and local media outlets. When possible, delayed start decisions will be communicated by 9 p.m. the night before. If a decision must be made the following morning, families will be notified by 5 a.m.

For additional information about transportation, meals, and what to expect during a delayed start, please review the infographic.
