Bishop Noland basketball star Jordan Buckhalter signs with Millsaps College Jordan Buckhalter became the first athlete in Bishop Noland program history to sign to compete at the collegiate level on Tuesday.

We are pleased to announce that Jordan Buckhalter, Class of 2025, has committed to playing basketball for Millsaps College! Jordan is our first Eagle to take his talents to the next level. In honor of his achievement, join us on Tuesday, July 29th at 5:30pm, at the South Campus gym for his official signing ceremony. 🏀 Go Eagles!

The Louisiana Reading Association held its annual state Awards Banquet on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Marksville. Mrs. Carol Womack, president of the Calcasieu Reading Association, presented Mrs. Paula Clemmons with the LRA Librarian of the Year award. Her introduction noted Mrs. Clemmons' work in two school libraries at Bishop Noland where she cultivates a love of reading and works to broaden a child's literacy. Mrs. Clemmons was also awarded one of two literacy mini-grants. This $500 grant will enable our library to have a PK-3rd grade Family Literacy Night in connection with Read Across America and Dr. Seuss celebrations.

The south campus recently hosted students in grades 1st through 5th who participated in the EDS summer sports camp. In camp students participated in sport skills activities such as the shuttle run, sit ups, push ups, and long and triple jumps. Students worked together in cooperative games and relays. 🦅

Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School is proud to partner with the City of Lake Charles for the annual I-10 Beach Sweep! Let’s work together to make our local beach cleaner and more beautiful for all to enjoy.

🧤 Gloves & trash bags will be provided by Green Team
👟 Closed-toed shoes required
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All students must be accompanied by a guardian
📝 Registration forms can be completed on site
🎉 Bishop Noland students will earn a reward for participating!

We are excited to announce our new Head Coach for our High School Soccer team, Ben Williams.

Coach Williams attended EDS K-8 grade, and is a graduate of the class of 1993. He currently serves in various leadership roles in the Good Shepherd Church, as well as our EDS community.

As a player, he was a State Champion at both the Youth & High School level. He was also a USSoccer Southern Regional Tournament participant, as well as a Louisiana State Olympic development player & regional pool player. In his High School career, he earned multiple All District & All State honors as a high school player in the LHSAA. He then earned a scholarship to Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama, where he was a 4 year starter, Captain and Gulf Coast Athletic All Conference Midfield player.

As a coach, he has served as an Assistant Coach in the LHSAA, where his team won the State Championship and also is an experienced Academy Director, Skills & Head Coach through the CSC organization. Coach Williams also holds multiple licenses through the USSoccer Organization and is formation with the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana for Holy Orders to become a bi-vocational priest. He is also in his 15th year of private practice as a Family practice physician.

Throughout our four-day Barbie Camp held at the south campus, campers had a blast engaging in imaginative role play with vintage and modern Barbie toys. In addition to free play, they enjoyed Barbie-themed activities including arts and crafts, dancing, manicures, a “Barbie Princesses” tea party, “Malibu Barbie” water play, and a fashion show inspired by “Weird Barbie.”
