Agents of Impact: Vivienne Pierce McDaniel, DNP '18 ✨ Dr. McDaniel was recently honored with the American Nurses Association's Mary Mahoney Award — one of nursing's most distinguished recognitions.

The award bears the name of Mary Eliza Mahoney, the first Black nurse to graduate from the first professional nursing program in the United States, and honors those who advance equal opportunities in nursing for people of diverse backgrounds. Being recognized alongside that legacy is no small achievement.

Dr. McDaniel, your work is a powerful reminder of the impact one nurse leader can have on an entire profession. Congratulations on this incredible honor!
