🚨 I cannot stress this enough: if you are a Georgia educator, or an educator in any red state for that matter, join your state NEA or AFT affiliate union. It will be worth every penny. In Georgia, G*E is your very best option, in my opinion.

What is happening in Cobb County is just the beginning for teachers across Georgia. Please protect yourselves!

Belonging to an organization that has the history and experience to provide you with the information, support, and means to make a difference for children, our public schools, and the future of public education is important. As a current or retired public school employee, you have the opportunity to...

A great big THANK YOU to New Politics Academy for sponsoring NNSTOY’s 2026 National Teacher Leadership Conference!

New Politics Academy helps people with a record of public service explore whether public office could be their next way to serve. Through nonpartisan training and mentorship, participants have space to consider the decision before learning the nuts and bolts of running a campaign (and if you decide to run, NPA will help you figure out those steps too)!

We appreciate New Politics Academy’s support of NNSTOY and its recognition that educators have the experience, values, and perspective our communities need in public leadership.❤️❤️❤️

Proposed censorship measures in several states could deny your right to read some books in our Nation's libraries and lead to librarians facing criminal charges for the books on the shelves.

This is infuriating. This is a direct attack on our state school superintendent, whether you agree with him or not, and our schools, teachers, and students. Georgians will not allow this! Any attack on public education is an attack on democracy, and Georgians know how to fight back. Get ready, advocacy warriors! We got this!

The U.S. Department of Education is reportedly investigating three Georgia school systems suspected of “passing the trash” — the practice of letting teachers or employees who were accused of sexual misconduct transfer to other positions.
