The best parts of D23 2026 were all the things I could learn, alongside other Disney fans!

The most memorable moments of D23 were all things that had little to no wait (and you could sit down for most of them!)
The Walt Disney Imagineering & Disney Live Entertainment pavilion was like their social media channels but even more in-depth!

Getting even more hyped about all the details coming to Tropical Americas from Joe Rohde and current Imagineers
This one was for my friends Amanda and Dr Sasha on the importance of archival work for theme parks and films!
They built, tested, and iteratively developed a virtual environment to replicate the water effects so they can design new shows without being in the parks after hours!
I had so many question about doorknobs and designing for accessibility of different monsters!

Outside of the Imagineering pavilion had cool educational experiences too! This one built on the Wētā Workshop panels from San Diego Comic-Con to see all the craftsmanship up close!

greekingoutpodcast interviewed Disney Legend Susan Egan and Ron Clements and did some Greek history trivia, followed by a surprise fan proposal!
I did make the hard choice to prioritize a panel on edutainment instead of the Worldbuilders panel with Leslie Iwerks I had reserved but I’m so glad I did because Worldbuilders was available later on Disney+ so I really got to do both!
