💚 Great schools need great leaders, and we're fortunate to have four who care so deeply about our students, staff, and school community!

It's Principal Appreciation Week, and we're celebrating the people who lead with heart, show up for our students, support our teachers, and help make LBES and LBMS such special places to learn and grow.

💙 October is National Principals Month, a time to recognize the people who help guide our schools each and every day.

Behind every school are leaders who care deeply about the students, staff, and families they serve. They celebrate the good days, help navigate the challenging ones, and are there for so many of the moments in between.

Throughout October, we’re proud to celebrate our Lake Bluff Schools principals and thank them for the time, heart, and dedication they bring to our schools.

History may begin in the ancient world, but Emmett Flannery wants students to understand why it still matters today. 💚

Mr. Flannery returns to LBMS for his second year, now as a sixth-grade Social Studies Teacher. He first joined the school in October 2025 as a long-term substitute after graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in history education.

Through ancient world history, he hopes to inspire students to become thoughtful, curious and engaged learners who can connect the past to the world around them.

Outside of school, Emmett enjoys Cubs games, movies and biking. We’re excited to welcome him into his new role at LBMS!
