Dear Lake Arrowhead Co-op Preschool Community,
We wish we were writing this under better circumstances, but we are coming to our mountain community, friends, and neighbors for your support. Although the current Board has done everything we can to properly account for the business of our school, we have recently discovered that a former member of our team with access to our bank accounts gravely misused their position to take school funds that they were not entitled to, and as a result, our beloved preschool desperately needs your help.
As so many current and former parents can attest to, our school has been an incredible place that has nurtured our children and made them excited to learn, under the amazing leadership of Mrs. Auten for the past 23 years. The Co-op is a staple of our community, and has been for over 60 years, but due to one dishonest person, the future of the school is in jeopardy.
Please know -- our school is stronger than ever, and every safeguard has been put into place to ensure nothing like this is ever repeated again -- and that's why we are hoping that you will donate to help get our wonderful, little school back on its feet. We will come back better than ever, and continue to provide an amazing place for our children to learn to love learning.
