Way to go Ryan AKA R2! We are so proud to have you as a member of the KSA team!

Congratulations to our next Focused on Excellence winner: Ryan Garner from Karen M. Siegel Academy!

Ryan is the lead daytime custodian at KMSA.

“I take pride in keeping everything organized and clean,” he said. “Also, everyone is so nice. I feel like I’m at home working there.”

This was the sixth year of our Focused on Excellence campaign, which recognizes the hard work and contributions of PCPS employees. Once again, employees were asked to nominate their colleagues from various departments for a chance to receive some great prizes, and be featured on our communication channels.

Ryan received an EXCELLENT package of gifts made possible by our sponsors: A.D. The phones at school will be down as well as our internet access. An update will be posted when service is restored.

Dear families,

This is an update regarding an internet outage impacting Polk County Public Schools.

For the last several days, Frontier, our internet provider, has been working to restore our internet service.

At this time, Frontier is reporting that this outage will likely continue tomorrow (Monday, July 27).

Unfortunately, more maintenance and testing are needed. Our internet service may not be restored until late Monday or perhaps Tuesday.

As a result, we anticipate that the district’s telephones as well as online tools for PCPS families will not be accessible until the internet outage has ended.

In addition, district and school websites will also not be accessible.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

District staff are expected to report for work tomorrow as usual, and they continue to work on tasks and assignments that do not require internet access.

How COOL is this?! 🍦Huge thanks to the Polk County Sheriff's Office for rolling in with the new ice cream truck and surprising our ESY students and staff with a sweet treat! The kids absolutely LOVED the truck and it truly made their day!! 💙 We appreciate your support!
