La`ie Elementary School is situated on the North Shore of Oahu, and is one of five public elementary schools that make up the Kahuku Complex. La`ie Elementary is near the La`ie Hawai`i Temple and Brigham Young University Hawai`i, and is privileged to have the university as a partner in education. Students participate and have performed well in district, state and national academic and physical competitions which include: Science Fair, We the People, History Day, Math Bowl, Math Counts, Solar Sprint Car Exhibition and the Windward District Physical Fitness Meet. Our school is a reflection of the community’s emphasis on high moral and ethical standards, the protectiveness and support of family, perseverance and pursuit of higher education. We have received the Distinguished School Award each year since 2007 for meeting the targets of the No Child Left Behind Adequate Yearly Progress, has been identified as a Continuous Improvement School in the StriveHI Performance System since 2013 and was nominated as a 2010 National Blue Ribbon School.
