We join events honoring Veterans, aiding military families, & celebrating national holidays. 501(c)(19) Tax ID 32-0421342 The American Legion Auxiliary was founded on the following purposes:
1. Children and Youth Activities
3. Serving the Local Community
4. Disaster Relief Activities
5. Peace and Security

In fulfillment of our Mission, the ALA adheres to the following purposes:
1. To support and advocate for veterans, active military and their families.
2. To support the initiatives of The American Legion.
3. To foster patriotism and responsible citizenship.
4. To award scholarships and promote quality education and literacy.
5. To provide educational and leadership opportunities that uphold the ideals of freedom and democracy and encourage good citizenship and patriotism in government.
6. To increase our capacity to deliver our Mission by providing meaningful volunteer opportunities within our communities.
7. To empower our membership to achieve personal fulfillment through "service not self."

❤️🤍💙 Celebrating achievement, leadership, and community!

Last night, American Legion Auxiliary South Orange County Unit 281 proudly hosted our 2026 Girls State Recognition Program, honoring local delegates who attended the 83rd session of ALA California Girls State. Hearing from these young women and celebrating their accomplishments with awards and certificates made for a special evening.

Thank you to our Unit 281 members and volunteers, Laguna Hills Unit 257, San Juan Capistrano Unit 721, and the generous donors, educators, families, and elected officials who support these future leaders.

Congratulations to all our delegates—you have so much to be proud of! 🇺🇸
