Watch Me! Sports Bar®

POV: pitching practice is on your calendar again 🥎😂

Ever wish your dog could come to your workout instead of giving you guilt-trip eyes from the front door? 🐶💪

We are bringing Paw Camp to the courtyard at Watch Me! Sports Bar® !

Whether you’re walking a 10-pound fluff ball or getting dragged down the sidewalk by 70 pounds of pure enthusiasm like my pups, handling a dog is a full-body workout.

So here’s the plan: ✨ A fun, standing-only functional workout designed for real-life movement; core stability (no kneeling on cobblestones! 😂) ✨ Bring your pup, move, laugh, and train to stay badass dog moms ✨ Hang out after class for drinks at Watch Me! with fellow dog moms.

We are capping this at 10–15 dog moms so everyone and their pups have space to settle in.

Drop a 🐶 in the comments or send a DM!

Come work out. Bring the puppies. Obviously. 🐶💪

Paw Camp is coming to Watch Me! Sports Bar® because the only thing that makes a workout better is doing it with dogs nearby.

Move your body. Hang out with good humans. Let your dog be the social butterfly you already know they are.

Paw Camp at Watch Me! Sports Bar 9/20

Honestly, I’m not sure who this event is more for, us or the puppies. 😂

Hydration is just drinking water, right?

Cute. 😂

Until you add heat, sweat, long practices, doubleheaders, electrolytes, fueling, nerves, travel, and the fact that every athlete does not lose fluid the same way.

Your water bottle is part of the plan.

It is not the whole plan.

“She has a water bottle, so she’s hydrated.”

Maybe.

But tournament hydration is a little more complicated than owning a Stanley. 😂

Your athlete may be outside for hours, sweating, competing, barely eating between games, drinking whatever happens to be available, and then doing it all over again tomorrow.

One of the things I want young athletes to learn is how to notice what their body is telling them before they feel completely wrecked.

Hydration is part of that.

Not because we need girls obsessing over every body signal.

Because learning how heat, sweat, food, fluids, recovery, and performance interact is part of learning how to take care of the body doing the sport.

We teach the skill. We should probably teach the body underneath it too.

First SoCal softball field since I was 14.

First time coaching again in about 10 years.

And somehow my body was like:

girl, relax. We know how to do this. 😂🥎

The throwing. The catching. The field chatter. The ridiculous amount of dirt everywhere.

Some things apparently live in your nervous system rent-free forever.

And I forgot how much I love this game.

Fall ball day 1.
Cycle day 2.
Southern California softball field for the first time since I was 14.

My body had notes. 😂

Because apparently returning to softball required cramps, heat, sweat, and my uterus screaming, “Oh, we’re athletes again? Cute.”

But this is exactly why I care so much about female athletes learning their own bodies.

Not so we can avoid hard s**t.

So we know what version of ourselves showed up today and can work with her.

You can be competitive as hell and still pay attention.

Those things were never opposites. 🥎

Your feet are doing a hell of a lot more than just keeping you upright.

They’re part of how you absorb force, create force, balance, squat, walk, run, change direction, and interact with the ground.

But most people have never been taught to pay attention to what their feet are actually doing.

So when something feels “tight,” unstable, weak, or just off somewhere else in the body, I’m not only looking at the place you feel it.

I’m looking at the system.

The thing you notice is where we start.

Not necessarily where the problem ends.
