Is there anything better than a cultural exchange reunion?

When you host an exchange student, the connection you make with them is one that lasts far longer than the ten months they spend in your home👨‍👩‍👧‍👦! We love seeing these international family reunions, like with Lucas from the Netherlands🇳🇱 and the Wood family in Missouri. It's reunions like these that are the reason we do what we do🩵.

Our exchange students are experiencing a lot of Firsts!🎉

First Wal-Mart visit🛒, First Dinner at Texas Roadhouse🍗, and of course First Time Meeting the Host Family👨‍👩‍👧‍👦!

Each first is new and exciting, and a great way to help your exchange student feel welcome and at home in their new community. It also gives you a chance to see your home through a new set of eyes👀!

All across the USA, exchange students and host families are starting the adventure of a lifetime. Together, they will learn, grow, love, and laugh as they share in each other's cultures. From Friday night football games🏈 to family dinners🍲, from Halloween👻 to happy birthdays🎂, we know they will make a million memories together.

Our students continue to arrive, excited to become part of their host families and American classrooms! Thank you to schools like Southmoreland High School-Official for providing them with such a warm welcome. It goes to show just how valued cultural exchange is in classrooms around the world!

They're here!!!🎉

It's the best time of the year, our exchange students are here! It feels like each day, our students' dreams are coming true as they touch down in the USA and meet their host families in person for the first time.

Our host families are doing an amazing job of making our students feel welcome, with signs, balloons, and hugs to go around. It's moments like these that make it all feel real. After months and months of wondering what their American families will be like, our exchange students finally get to experience it for themselves! We can't wait to see all the memories they will make together.

Our STS Education Group Educatius Group - USA students are arriving to the USA and enjoying all that Welcome Camp in New York City has to offer!

As they adjust to being on American soil, exchange students are taking in all the amazing sights New York has to offer and learning more about life in the USA. They are meeting their fellow exchange students, some of whom they will be sharing a school or even a host family with, and making connections and memories that will last with them long after they return home.

We can't wait to see the tremendous journey they will go on this school year, and wish them all the best as they depart New York to meet their host families for the first time!

Cultural exchange goes far beyond showing exchange students what life is like here in the USA. Cultural exchange has a positive, lifelong impact on everyone it touches, from students to host families, teachers to classmates, and to everyone within our host communities who even have one interaction with a student from another country. The connections made through exchange are connections that last forever. They help us grow, learn, and become more understanding of the world around us. We are proud to be one of many cultural exchange programs that are making the world a safer and kinder place, one exchange at a time.
