Anneliese Schools is excited to continue upgrading our newest outdoor learning and community space for students and families alike, known as The Willows. This nature-inspired space has become the heart of our campus for gathering, learning, and growing together.

We are hosting a fundraising event for The Willows on Saturday, September 19, called “A Garden Gathering.”

The goal is to expand our offerings in this unique setting by adding enhancements such as a sound system for the performing arts program, a screen, and a retractable awning, to name a few.

We've been enjoying our summer camp programming, but we're so excited for the new school year to start on August 24! The joy our students bring to learning is contagious and inspiring. We can't wait to embark on another year of wonder and discovery with you all 💛🌿🎻🔬✏️

Our summer campers in Italian Cooking Camp this week learned how to make bruschetta, pizza, pasta, tiramisu and more! Their delicious creations were made possible by a beautiful bounty of heirloom tomatoes harvested from our school’s own regenerative local farm, Rebel Mountain Farms 🍅

Stimulating emotional, social and intellectual growth in our students is a guiding philosophy in our curriculum, and that is evident even in subjects such as music. An Anneliese student journeys through a beautiful progression in their music grasp and literacy over their time with us, as they begin with singing in circle time as a toddler and culminate their learning as sixth graders with a focus on a specific instrument. In orchestra and band class, a student is hard at work utilizing higher order thinking processes, discipline, problem-solving, creativity, and much more. It is a special reward to see and hear the fruits of their labor year after year 🎼

Anneliese isn't like just any other school ✨ We have two Laguna Beach campuses, and students in both locations get to take part in the magic of our robust programming. Our South Laguna Beach Campus visits the Willowbrook Campus throughout the school year to enjoy Animal Care experiences and much more. Our resident mini horses, like Willow seen here, get to soak up lots of hugs on a daily basis 💛

Beginning in Kindergarten, our interdisciplinary garden curriculum serves as a biological classroom for the scientific study of life cycles and as a place where lessons in history, culture, art, math, and language come to life in fascinating new ways. As students progress through the program, they delve deeper into the practical work of maintaining a healthy, productive garden—acquiring skills in planting, tending, harvesting, composting, pest management, and water reclamation in an organic garden.

Students also become “eco-literate” and develop an understanding of important ecological principles in the garden and learn to apply these principles to major environmental issues in our world today.

We 💛 Farm Friday! Each Friday, our Willowbrook Campus happily receives a visit from farmer Paulo at our school's own local farm, Rebel Mountain. He brings a fresh harvest from the farm and prepares some seasonal snacks for our students to sample. Today, they were excited to nosh on some beets, cucumbers, and bananas during recess 🍌
