Guidelines for Content

Official district social media platforms shall be used only for their stated purposes and in a manner consistent with this policy and administrative regulation. TOW Library, in partnership with the TOW PTA, has introduced a brand-new book vending machine for students!

Each month, students celebrating a birthday will have the opportunity to visit the library and select a book from the vending machine as a special birthday gift from the school library. Itโ€™s a fun way to celebrate students while encouraging a lifelong love of reading.

A huge thank you to Library Media Specialist Nikki Romano, Digital Media and Library Specialist Stephanie Gamache, and TOW PTA for working together to make this special experience possible for students and for continuing to share the gift of reading. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’™And donโ€™t worry, summer birthdays are part of the celebration too! Students with birthdays during the summer months will have their opportunity at the beginning or end of the school year, ensuring everyone gets a chance to celebrate with a new book.

Happy reading, TOW! ๐Ÿ“š

The 3rd Annual Legacy Night took place Friday evening before the football game, bringing together some of our youngest and oldest students for a special moment at midfield.

Kindergartners from El Morro Elementary and Top of the World Elementary met with Laguna Beach High School seniors to exchange words of advice, stickers, and plenty of smiles and hugs. Together, they celebrated what it means to be part of the Laguna Beach community as one generation of Breakers prepares to pass the torch to the next.

Legacy Night is a special reminder that no matter where students are on their educational journey, they are connected by a community that supports them every step of the way.
Now, try swiping through these photos without smiling. We dare you! โค๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ

First Day of School! Can we get a woot woot?! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ“š

Students officially stepped back onto campuses across Laguna Beach today! It was an exciting morning filled with nerves, joy, big smiles, and, of course, a little sadness that summer vacation has come to an end.

Our staff and community came together to welcome students back, and it was hard to walk across a campus without spotting a smile. Hereโ€™s to a year filled with learning, new experiences, plenty of fun, and memories that will last long after the school year ends.

We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to the community partners who helped make the first day even more special! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš“๐ŸŒŠโ˜• Thank you to Laguna Beach Fire Department , Oro , Laguna Beach Police Department , City of Laguna Beach, Department of Marine Safety , and Jedidiah Coffee for bringing the energy and helping us welcome students and families back to school. That support is part of what makes LBUSD so special. Back-to-school isnโ€™t just about our students and staff returning to campus, itโ€™s about an entire community showing up to support and celebrate its youngest members.

Back in Session! ๐ŸŽ‰

Today, staff from across LBUSD were officially welcomed back for the new school year, kicking off the day with our annual Welcome Back Breakfast!

The morning celebrated our incredible employees, recognized staff for their years of service, and honored one outstanding employee, Ryan Zajda, with the Spirit of Laguna Award, which recognizes an individual who exemplifies dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the district.

Staff also heard a personal keynote from Dr. Austin before continuing the day with professional development and opportunities to learn, connect, and collaborate.

What a great way to begin the school year, strengthening relationships, reconnecting as colleagues, and coming together around a shared commitment to our students and community.

Welcome back, LBUSD! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿซ‚
