After working hard every weekend this month, I am so excited to say... the playground refurbishment is complete!

So much love and hard work went into giving our playground a fresh, fun new look! We sanded and repainted the swing sets, installed a brand-new saucer swing, gave the wooden boat a fresh coat of paint, and completely refreshed our teeter-totter airplane with a new propeller, steering wheel, and dashboard.

We also added brand-new Radio Flyer scooters for even more fun!
And, after many years of play, our old wooden climber has been replaced with
a brand-new Little Tikes climber for our little adventurers to explore.

I speak for all of us at FPNS that we couldn't be more excited to welcome all of our little friends back in just a few short weeks to discover, play, climb, swing, and enjoy all the wonderful new additions to the playground!

Lastly a huge thank you to Meredith, Nancy and Neal Townsend for getting the new climber to FPNS- it was so appreciated!

What a wonderful way to wrap up camp! This week the campers celebrated some favorite holidays all in one fun-filled adventure.

Our campers made adorable Valentine’s love blocks, decorated mini Christmas stockings, and created spooky ghost necklaces using wooden ghosts and orange and black beads. For Halloween, they enjoyed a trick-or-treat walk over to the church side and had a blast searching for treasures during a Halloween scavenger hunt. They made Easter wreaths and finished the week with an Easter egg hunt.

In between all of our holiday fun, we filled our days with games, music, movement, laughter, and lots of smiles. It was the perfect way to celebrate together and end another amazing week of camp.

Thank you to all of our wonderful campers for making this summer so special—we hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the summer!♥️

Week 3 of camp was POPPIN'!

What a fun-filled week we had! Our campers made musical corn shakers, created colorful balloon print art, decorated balloons, and designed beaded bracelets and necklaces with adorable mini balloon dogs.

The fun kept popping with water balloon games, a Pop It scavenger hunt (and everyone got to take two home!), bubble wrap stomping and popping, fresh air-popped popcorn to have with snack and sent some home in adorable popcorn bags, music and movement, and so much more!

We loved seeing all the smiles, laughter, creativity, and excitement this week. We can't wait to see what our last week of camp brings! 🎈💛🍿

What a wild adventure for the second week of camp for ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’ They stepped into Max's world by painting wooden sailboats just like the one he sailed across the sea, decorating royal crowns fit for a king of the Wild Things, and creating their very own monster puppets and masks.

The fun didn't stop there! They burned off energy with Monster Tag, giggled through the One-Eyed Monster Spoon Race, showed off colorful monster tattoos, and stayed cool with plenty of water play. A “wild” week was had by all!❤️⛵️👑

Although the school year ended just a month ago and summer camp is in full swing, there's still plenty happening at FPNS!

This sign is the first of many special projects and exciting preparations that are underway as we look ahead to the start of another wonderful school year.

A huge thank you to the Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church for their unwavering support and commitment to the nursery school and helping the schools visions come to life. This has helped create a welcoming space where our communities children can learn, grow, and thrive.

As the new school year approaches, keep an eye on your inbox in the coming weeks! I will be sending Save the Dates, important back-to-school updates, and all the information you'll need to kick off another wonderful year at FPNS. We can't wait to welcome everyone back soon!

With love and gratitude,
Ms. Kelly ❤️

Our dinosaur-themed adventures/first week of camp were a huge success, and we had so much fun learning, creating, and exploring together! Campers made dinosaur footprint art with paint, created salt dough dinosaur fossils, designed colorful dinosaur masks, and painted wooden dinosaurs with watercolors. They became paleontologists during our dinosaur dig in the sandbox, watched dinosaurs hatch from eggs, enjoyed plenty of water play, played exciting games, and took part in so many other hands-on activities. 🦖🦕

The last two days of preschool were filled with sunshine, smiles, and camp-style fun! From water play and games to ice pops and endless laughter, we made wonderful memories together as we celebrated an amazing year. We can’t think of a better way to end the year, and think it’s safe to say all three classes had an absolute blast!
