2,900 students from around the world competed at this year's National NHD Contest. Students traded buttons with groups from Alabama to Wyoming, South Korea to Guam.

Despite the steep competition, Georgia students had big results! Here are our top twenty and thirty finishers in their category. All of Team Georgia's results are available on georgiahumanities.org/national-history-day

More important than the results, however, are the skills students developed by creating a NHD project. From group collaboration, to research, to interviewing, our NHD Georgia students honed skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. The NHDGA team is so proud of every single one of you!

This achievement honors Dr. Johnson's efforts to help her students develop critical historical inquiry skills through the NHD program, and it recognizes all of our NHDGA teachers across the state. Thank you, educators. None of this would be possible without you.

Today we went to Washington! 🏛️

While Jack and Ari showcased their work at the Smithsonian Museums of American History and African American History and Culture, the rest of Team Georgia visited the Capitol. Thank you to Senator Jon Ossoff's office for providing us with Senate gallery passes.

Tomorrow is the NHD award ceremony. A livestream link will be posted early tomorrow for those of you who want to join us from home!
