Troup High Automotive

Troup High Automotive wants to thank Auto Gallery Chevrolet Buick GMC for their generous donation. We plan on getting a Snap-on Meter Certification kit for the students so they can learn how to use a multimeter. The students will be able to earn a multimeter certification certificate. This is going to be a great addition to our program.

Auto Gallery Chevrolet Buick GMC also provided work shirts for all the students who passed their End of Pathway assessment for the 22-23 school year. We are so excited to have Auto Gallery as our Sponsor!

Today Moon's Towing picked up this 1998 Camaro that was donated to the program. We already have big plans for it next school year. Thank you Moon's Towing!!!!

Moon’s towing volunteered to tow the raffled Trailblazer to and from Auto Gallery Chevrolet. These two companies volunteered their time to Troup High Automotive with the Trailblazer. If you need anything contact these guys!!!

On November 19th students competed at Troup high for the local SkillsUSA competition. These students competed showing various automotive skills that they have learned in class and after school. Ryan Webb placed 1st. Jay Bradfield placed 2nd and Cam Freeman placed 3rd. These students will be advancing to region and state SkillsUSA competitions.

Last Saturday some of my students came out to serve their community at Rosemont Baptist Church. We got together and changed engine oil for single parents as a SkillsUSA community service project. These students worked hard and had a great time getting together during the last few days of summer. What a blessing to have such great kids in my class!!! Some alumni even came out to help with this event. We also want to thank our sponsors-NAPA auto parts, Advanced auto parts,O’Reilly auto parts and AutoZone. These company’s donated oil, oil filters, brake cleaner, funnels and paper towels. We also want to thank Rosemont Baptist Church for letting us use their parking lot for this service project. .

Tomorrow is the day. We will be doing oil changes at Rosemont Baptist Church from 9-11. You had to be registered beforehand to qualify. Any present students can come out and help. If you are planning not on helping let me know below. See you tomorrow!!

Mark your calendar for July 17th. Any of my students (present or past) who want to help with a community outreach program please make comment below that you want to help. On July 17th we will be doing oil changes for single parents. I will post more information the closer we get to the date.

This has been a different year to say the least. Through it all my students have done an amazing job throughout the year. To reward them for a job well done we had a cookout last Friday. Hopefully they will remember these times in class.
