For those who haven’t heard, I have accepted a teaching job in another district this next school year.

I wanted to thank everyone for the last 4 years. I really appreciate the support I was given. Obviously, I could not have done the job without Coach Buzz’s & Coach Langston’s expertise. I also had tons of help from parents - everything from Gina loaning us a cooler and organizing snacks, Doug donating kickboards, to parents sending an abundance of snacks, and Christy being our photographer.

Swimmers - I want to thank you for not only your dedication but also your respect. I’m honored to play a very small part in your school career.

Parents - Thank you for raising such wonderful young ladies and gentlemen. It was a pleasure to work with your children. Coaching them was one of the highlights of my teaching career. I have quite a few years ahead but I know this will always be one of my absolute favorites.

Family & Friends - The support from you has been awesome! It was great to see how you showed up (when we could have fans in the crowds) and cheered on the team. I know it meant a lot to the athletes.

Again thank you to everyone for your support. It means more than I can ever say. I plan on attending and cheering for “my” swimmers so hope to see you next school year at some meets.

Seniors: Forgot to mention that your pens take refills from Staples or Office Depot. It should be a long time before you need one, though. Mr. Colley & I both have used them for years and never refilled one yet.

I have not forgotten the swim banquet. The restaurant I wanted to use requires a large deposit so that was a no.

Question: What day of the week works best? Since so many of the swimmers are now participating in other sports, I was thinking late Sunday afternoon to have it. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thank you!

If you're attending the state meet this Friday: The spaces in the W10 lot are sold out. More parking can be found at the W23 North Visitor parking deck. This deck is located at 933 State St., Atlanta, GA 30318 and is in between Ferst Dr. and 10th St. It is a longer walk to the pool. Parking for this lot will not be available for pre-purchase, you can pay at the gate. The cost is $10 per vehicle per day.
