Tomorrow begins our 2026-2027 School Year! This also means that it is time to begin selecting our 2026-2027 Silver Knights Racing team! Applications will be available for our 4th and 5th grade students. I hope to have them delivered to homeroom teachers first thing tomorrow. All applications will be due August 20th as our season officially begins on October 3rd!! I can't wait!!

📢 ***ATTENTION 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS*** 📢

We start school on Friday and with that comes the beginning of a brand new Greenpower season! We have a lot to do before our first race in October. But first... We need a team!

I will be getting applications to 4th and 5th grade homerooms to get to students either at open house or send home the first day of school.

It's been a busy week already! On Monday I started at Callaway Middle School & met with Coach Neighbors who is taking over CMS Greenpower . He's excited about taking the program to the next level and giving GNMS & LCMS some strong competition!

Today I met Ms. Teshiba Brooks & Ms. Crystal Childs who will be taking over Blazing Bulldogs-CES Greenpower at Callaway Elementary School. They are excited about relaunching the Greenpower program there & providing this amazing opportunity for the Bulldogs.

The 26-27 Greenpower season is set to be our very best yet. More exciting things to come so stay tuned!!

🏁 We are excited to announce the new Head Coach of the EKES Silver Knights Racing Team—Ms. Elizabeth Kirby! 🏁

Ms. Kirby is no stranger to the racetrack and brings with her several years of Greenpower coaching experience. Her passion, knowledge, and dedication to student racing make her an incredible addition to our program.

We can’t wait to see her lead the Silver Knights to the next level and inspire our students both on and off the track.

Today was a big milestone for Wolfpack Racing at Clearview Elementary!

The team officially became just the second Troup County School System elementary Greenpower program to own three Goblin race cars. This accomplishment didn't happen overnight—they worked hard fundraising the last few years to make it a reality, and I was excited to deliver their newest car today.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this program over the years. Your generosity, encouragement, and hard work helped make this moment possible.

I'm also excited to welcome Ms. Lakita Williams as the new head coach for the 2026-27 season, which marks the 5th year of the Clearview Elementary Greenpower program. She is embracing the challenge and is eager to build on the program's success and take Wolfpack Racing to the next level. Congratulations, and I can't wait to see what this team accomplishes this season!
