⚠️ Limited beginner spots available during the season — summer workouts are highly encouraged! Remember, we will only be keeping the Top 2 wrestlers per weight class, so come out, learn, and compete

Gardner Newman Middle School

The intent of this policy is to encourage student attendance, proper behavior, and to maximize student exposure to instruction. No middle or high school student who owes fines, has had a discipline referral resulting in ISS/OSS, or has been suspended from riding the bus is eligible for an exemption from the class(es) where ISS/OSS is assigned.

Middle and High School Exemptions
Middle and high school students who meet the discipline criteria are eligible to be exempt if:

They have no more than five (5) absences in the semester provided the student has an A average, or;

They have no more than four (4) absences in the semester provided the student has a B average, or;

They have no more than three (3) absences in the semester provided the student has a C average.



Eligibility will be determined by attendance per class period. Students who are eligible for an exemption from their semester exam may do so only with parental permission. Students who are eligible for an exemption from their semester exam, but choose to take the semester exam, shall have the score considered only if it improves their grade. Please continue to check your child’s academic progress in Infinite Campus. If you have questions about the policy, please contact GNMS at 706-883-1535.

Gardner Newman Middle School brings home a 2nd Place National Championship title in the Greenpower_USA Intermediate Stock Division!

I’m so incredibly proud of every one of these students. Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance showed all weekend long.

These teams put in countless hours preparing for this moment, and seeing that work pay off on the national stage has been incredible.
