Kinder Jumpstart (July 27-July 30)
Kinder Jumpstart is an optional period of summer learning that is open to all incoming kindergarten students who are enrolled in Lago Vista Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Participating in this optional experience will provide our newest Vikings with a sneak peek of what to expect in kindergarten. During Kinder Jumpstart, our students will become familiar with the building and classrooms, meet potential classmates, practice routines and transitions, and become acquainted with our school staff. It is also a great opportunity for us to familiarize ourselves with our new students and gain valuable information regarding their strengths and needs to help inform class placements. All activities will be designed to build student confidence as they enter kindergarten and create excitement for the upcoming school year.

The priority deadline to register for this free, optional time of summer learning is June 26, 2026.

We are excited to host a Career Day Assembly for our students on Thursday, May 14, and we would love your help!

We are seeking volunteers to share their career, trade, or military experience with our students. This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire and motivate students as they begin thinking about their future paths.

Presentations will be brief—approximately 10 minutes, followed by a short Q&A session with students. Our goal is to make this a fun, engaging, and meaningful experience for everyone involved.

If you are interested in presenting, please complete this form:

https://forms.gle/D9zFazhzWTkr95eM9

We also encourage you to share this opportunity with friends, family members, or community members who may be interested in participating.

Thank you for supporting our students, and helping make this event a success!
