Following damage from Hurricane Ida, this important project will include structural elevation, reconstruction, interior and exterior restoration, and overall facility rehabilitation to create a stronger, more accessible, and better flood-protected medical center for our community.

🏆 Award-Winning Vision for Jean Lafitte! 🏆
The Town of Jean Lafitte is proud to announce that our proposed Jean Lafitte Waterfront Amphitheater Stage has received top honors in its category at the Louisiana Municipal Association (LMA) Awards at their 89th convention in Monroe, Louisiana!

While this exciting project is still in the planning stages, this recognition affirms our vision for creating a signature waterfront destination that will benefit our community for generations to come.

The future amphitheater will provide a permanent venue for the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival, concerts, cultural events, and community celebrations while showcasing the natural beauty, seafood heritage, and unique culture that make Jean Lafitte so special. Located along our scenic waterfront, the venue is designed to enhance tourism, support local businesses, encourage economic growth, and provide residents and visitors with a beautiful gathering place to enjoy live entertainment and community events.

This award is a testament to the Town's commitment to investing in projects that celebrate our heritage, strengthen our economy, and enhance the quality of life for everyone who calls Jean Lafitte home.
