Shout out to our very own Tiger cheerleaders! As they finished the UCA summer cheer camp. They received two superior ribbons during camp for their Spirit routine and their camp routine. Today at the final showcase they were recognized for being a superior team (based on receiving all superior ribbons during camp) and a trophy for being the overall most improved team out 13 teams. We are extremely proud of our cheerleaders and also Extremely proud of Isabella Hosley for making the All-American Cheerteam! As always GO TIGERS! 🐯 💜💛🤍

Our Social Worker, Dr. Hollinger, recipient of the Meritus Class Cash Grant, used the proceeds to help foster students conflict resolution skills, and strengthen their core values. The title of the Group is “Givin’ It, Takin It, Workin’ It, & Clockin’ It”.

Yesterday the girls “ Clocked It” by celebrating their success of completing all four groups! They received their certificates, enjoyed school appropriate free dress, and collected lots of loot in their goodie bags. They also enjoyed their catered lunch of fried chicken, pizza, chocolate chip cookies and soda!

We are proud of them! Tigers Roar to the finish line! 🐯💜💛💜

A bittersweet goodbye. Though this is not truly goodbye but to wish farewell to our 8th graders is definitely a bittersweet experience.

Our 8th graders have truly been an inspiration to our 6th and 7th graders as well to their teachers. You all have done an amazing job this year and we are so excited to see how you will grow and show off your greatness as 9th graders!!

Remember always ALWAYS believe in yourself. We sure do!! 🐯

“K Love ya bye!”

🎓 Growing Leaders for LPSS 🎓

Congratulations to the educators who completed the 2026 LPSS Leadership Institute. This year’s cohort included classroom, instructional, and special education staff from elementary, middle, and high schools across Lafayette Parish. Throughout the institute, participants explored key areas of district and school leadership, including curriculum and instruction, school administration, accountability, school safety, federal programs, and student opportunities.

Thank you to Superintendent Touchet for joining the cohort celebration and recognizing the importance of leadership development across LPSS. Special thanks to Assistant Superintendent Ginger Richard for her guidance and leadership throughout this year’s institute.
