We love seeing our feed filled with pictures of our campus, meauxments old and new, and Spartans of all ages 🥰

It may be the end of our school as we know it, but as Coach Franks said, “Comeaux lives forever.”

It lives in every single student, teacher, staff, and supporter that has walked these halls and contributed to our legacy.

Once a Spartan,

Former students, teachers and staff returned to Ovey Comeaux High School on Thursday evening for one final walk through the halls, celebrating nearly six decades of memories before the campus closes.

We've got a for members of OCHS EdRising who participated at this year's National Educators Rising Conference in Portland, Oregon!

An opportunity to connect and network with their peers, compete in events showcasing their teaching skills, and get inspired to "Teach with Purpose, Lead with Passion," we're so proud of our Spartans for representing our school and going to embrace the calling of a profession in education!

Immensely proud of the opportunities offered at our school!

Congratulations to our students, and thank you to our fantastic Foreign Language Department educators Mr. Darby and Mrs. Lombana, on this achievement!

The Louisiana State Seal of Biliteracy honors graduating seniors who showcase proficiency in English as well as at least one other language. A total of 27 high schools were acknowledged for having at least 5 percent of their graduating seniors achieve this distinction.

💙 OCHS Legacy Walk 💙

We invite alumni, former educators, staff members, families, and community members to join us for the Ovey Comeaux High School Legacy Walk on Thursday, June 25, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This special evening offers an opportunity to walk the halls, reconnect with classmates and colleagues, reflect on cherished memories, and celebrate the lasting impact Ovey Comeaux High School has had on our community.

We look forward to honoring the stories, traditions, and accomplishments that have made the Spartan legacy so meaningful.

🌧️ Tuesday Classes Canceled 🌧️

Due to the threat of substantial rainfall and out of an abundance of caution, all students participating in LPSS summer programs will not report to school tomorrow.

This includes:
*Summer School
*English Learner Programs
*Special Education Classes
*Target Graduation
*Jump Start Summer Programs

Please note that this cancellation applies to students only. All LPSS employees, including school-based staff and District Office personnel, should report to work as scheduled.

Participation in band, athletics, and other extracurricular activities will be voluntary. Students and families should watch for updates from their coaches, directors, or sponsors regarding any schedule adjustments.

LPSS will continue to monitor weather conditions and share additional information as needed.

On days in between state testing, we brought some levity to members of our team with a quick game!

Participants were given an OCHS related word and a chance to be the first one to think of a song lyric with that word! 🎤🎶

We discovered fierce competitors, talented singers, and more songs to add to our playlist! 🤭
