4-H and FFA Walker County Goat Showing team started year 13 of Backpack Blessings! 1,332 meals were packed in just one hour for North Georgia Community YMCA and our local community.

We love partnering with the Jimmy Simpson Foundation and our 4-H'ers have loved working with those at SafeHaven. They have shared brain injury awareness resources with the public on their social media if you want to check it out for your friends and family.

📚 The Brain Injury Awareness Adventure Series is now available!

Created by the Jimmy Simpson Foundation and written by Ian Russell, this five-book children’s series introduces brain injury awareness through engaging, age-appropriate stories filled with adventure, friendship, courage, inclusion, resilience, and hope.

Young readers will meet five unforgettable characters:

📕 Smokey Finds His Spark

Gregory Hobbs will be honored for state Dean’s Award in STEM and state Key Award

Mika Gardner will be honored for state Companion and Speciality Animals

How proud can we be in Walker County!!!! 4 for 4!! All of our 4-H’ers placed top 3 at State 4-H Congress!!!!

Congrats to our newest Master 4-H’er in Companion and Speciality Animals Mika Gardner!

Also congrats to 2nd place McKenzie Hughes in Wildlife and Marine Sciences
and
3rd place for Chyanne Martin in General Recreation and Grant Matteson in Outdoor Recreation!!

Way to go Walker County 4-H!!!
