Summer Band 2026: Throwback Day 😁
We are off to a fantastic start with the beginning instrumentalists at Sunnyside!
Hello!
This will be the final 6th grade band announcement for the school year. It has been a wonderful first year with your kiddos, and Mr. Eddy and I look forward to seeing them continue to grow in their musical journey. For those intending to participate in the summer band, make sure you look for an email from Miss Hopper to get signed up today if you haven’t done so already. The theme for this summer is super fun, and I know the students will enjoy the music and camaraderie this summer!
We are wrapping up the school year with instrument check-in and transitions. There are a few students who still need to return their home instruments, and there are a few who still need to renew their TAF instrument application. It is a simple process and should only take a few moments. If your child still owes a renewal form, I have sent a paper copy home with them and I have emailed the link to the online renewal if that is easier for you. If you run into any questions, let me know and I will reply as soon as I can. Likewise, if you have received a notice of rental payment due from Miss Swanson, that rental payment is due by the end of the school year (next Thursday). Checks can be made out to Sunnyside, and the rental fee is $60 for the school year. If you did not receive an email notice of payment due, then you do not owe. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like me to double check for you.
Thank you again for a great first year of instrumental music study for your child. We will miss the kids, but we know they are in great hands with Miss Hopper and Mr. Donahue. Have a relaxing and rejuvenating summer!

Good afternoon!
We are so proud of the students for their excellent performance on Tuesday evening. The concert video is ready to be shared with family and friends. I changed the sound on the slideshow for copyright protections on YouTube, but the imagery with public domain music is included in the end of the playing portion on the video. We also do not include the awards and recognition portion of the concert on the video for anonymity’s sake. As we head into the end of the school year and the start of the 7th grade summer band, we will be touching base with individuals about instrument return and renewal as needed. Have a fantastic weekend, and happy Mother’s Day to all of you amazing matriarchs working every day to grow our future leaders. You are amazing!
SIS Band Spring Concert 2026 Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
Auld Lang Syne gets me every time. Six years is a relatively short stint from our Sunnyside Spring concert to walking across the Jefferson stage at Music in May. I love seeing and hearing how far our Bronchos have come and where the are headed. It was a beautiful concert and classy presentation. Congrats, seniors!!
