Our chapter members participated in the Sickle Cell 3K Walk/Run and Health Expo for sickle cell awareness during sickle cell awareness month yesterday hosted by the 100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette Inc., Acadiana Black Nurses Association, the Sickle Cell Association of South LA, and the Flatland Runners. We provided voter education and registration to attendees as our sorority is committed to educating the public on the transformative power of their voice and vote!💞💚💕

Thank you to the event organizers, vendors, and volunteers for creating a meaningful event to bring awareness to sickle cell and resources for those living with sickle cell and their families.♥️

There is still time to register to vote for the upcoming midterm elections to vote on candidates for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, local election candidates, and 10 Louisiana Constitutional Amendments.

Our chapter members took a “Walk on the Wildside” on Saturday September 12, 2026 at Zoosiana for the Autism Society of Acadiana! Our “Pearls With a Purpose” team came in 3rd place for fundraising, raising $778.00 for the Autism Society of Acadiana to help fund vital programs in the community to help individuals and families living with autism and to increase awareness. Our team won 1st place for the walk’s t-shirt design created by sister Zuwena Easterling! 💞💚💕

Thank you to the Autism Society of Acadiana for their invaluable resources, programs, work, and contributions to help improve and enhance the lives of those living with autism and their families in the Acadiana community.

✨ A New Start to Debutante & Tea Girl Season! ✨

Our new debutantes and tea girls attended their first of many workshops on Saturday, August 22, 2026, marking an exciting beginning to a season filled with learning, growth, and preparation! 💕💚

Our tea girls participated in an informative presentation focused on transitioning to life after high school, followed by a fun and interactive bingo game that reinforced what they learned.

Our debutantes enjoyed a full day of engaging presentations and hands-on experiences designed to prepare them for success in both professional and social settings. Their workshop included creating professional business letters, appropriate social media etiquette, social etiquette and the art of conversation, and dress etiquette for various types of attire—brought to life through a fashion show! 👗✨

The day concluded with a lesson in dining etiquette, where the young ladies had an opportunity to put their newly learned skills into practice while enjoying a catered, plated meal. 🍽️

The start of our new tea girl and debutante season has been incredibly promising! We look forward to watching these young ladies continue to learn, grow, and engage in meaningful workshops and experiences that will leave them prepared, skillful, and poised for all that is to come. 🌸

On Saturday August 8, 2026 we hosted our annual chapter retreat. We enhanced sisterly connections, checked what is on our plate, refueled our commitment to service and sisterhood, and geared up for the journey ahead as we champion service and transform the world with our new 2026-2030 international sorority targets. As part of our chapter retreat service project, we donated and packed 800 feminine pads and 600 feminine wipes for local elementary school girls. Thank you to the presenters and the amazing standards committee for a refueled chapter retreat led by committee chairman and co-chairman, sisters Linda Broussard & LaQuata Kennison respectively!🩷🏁💚🏁🩷
