The 72nd Boule in Las Vegas, NV is in the books! We celebrated our global community impact during the Soaring administration under the leadership of our 31st international president and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed. Our sorority members across the globe distributed 2.2 million CHIPP™️ bags to fight food insecurity, planted over 204,000 trees and established over 4,000 community gardens to enhance our environment, made more than 5 million voter contacts through education, registration, and mobilization as we advocated for social justice, and invested more than $60 million during our Black Dollar Days to build economic wealth and generate economic empowerment for Black owned businesses and Black communities. Our sisterhood is our superpower and our service is supreme. 💚🩷
Our chapter members engaged fully in certifications, workshops, plenaries, regional gatherings, the Boule choir, and so much more. From the public meeting to the inspiring ecumenical service, the wonderful welcome reception, and the elegant closing gala, the week was filled with purposeful business, meaningful meetups, new connections, joyful reconnections, dedicated service, and continued empowerment of our sisterhood. Another Guinness World Record for service was achieved!🩷💚
We congratulate our outgoing 31st international president and CEO, Golden sister Danette Anthony Reed, for an outstanding Soaring administration for the past 4 years! We congratulate and welcome our 32nd international president, Golden sister Charletta Wilson Jacks. Congratulations to our chapter for being recognized as an Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc.® (EAF) Platinum Chapter, the highest level, at the 72nd Boule in Las Vegas, NV this past week at the EAF®️ luncheon. Our sister, Karen King, proudly represented Eta Chi Omega at the luncheon. The mission of the EAF® is to advance higher education, promote lifelong learning, and strengthen communities through strategic educational investment. In 2025 the EAF® awarded more than $2.6 million in scholarships and educational support to students and community organizations. Our chapter is proud to be a platinum level contributor to the EAF® in support of its mission. Special congratulations to our chapter's EAF® Ambassadors, sister Gwendolyn Hollinger and sister Verna Calais for all of their hard work in leading the charge to obtain Platinum chapter status.
