It breaks my heart to say that we lost another classmate. Rob Coker passed away on Friday, April 26, 2022. He is rejoicing with his Lord and Savior and those gone before him. He will be truly missed. If you would like to post any memories you have with Rob feel free to do so! I will miss our talks about the Lord and our family tree! Love you Rob and RIP. ❤️

It saddens me to say that we have lost another classmate. Gail Hearn Arnold passed away on September 26. She was a good friend to all and she loved life. She will be missed by all. Our prayers are with her husband, James and her family and friends.


Gail Lou Arnold, 65, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, departed this life on September 26, 2021, at her residence in Old Fort.
She was born on March 18, 1956, in Colorado to the late Dorothy Madalene Hearn. Throughout life, she faithfully served our country for 20 years with the United States Air Force and attended Redemption to the Nations in Athens. Gail enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved family, whom she loved dearly. Her smile and laughter would light up every room blessed by her presence and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother, Dorothy Hearn, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Daulton Penland.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James E. Arnold; loving children, Trae (Dana) Penland III., Amy (Damon) Lindsey, Austin Hunter, and Sidney Hunter; cherished grandchildren; Traevin Penland, Dillon Williams, Cameron Lindsey, Blaze Lindsey, Lauren Hunter, Isabella Hunter, Mayzi Hicks, Nash Hicks, and Dallas Laher; siblings, J.D. Hearn, Dale Phillips, and Jessie Wrecsics.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later a date.
Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.HigginsFuneral.com.

In just a little over a month since Rita passed, we’ve lost another classmate, this time to COVID-19! Anthony Thompson passed away yesterday, August 13th, 2020. Anthony was so talented, had a beautiful voice and was a member of the Boys at Heart Band! He was my good friend and I will miss him terribly. Our prayers go out to Brad and Lacie and family. RIP Anthony, we will meet again soon! ❤️🙏❤️🙏

It breaks my heart to say that we lost a sweet classmate this morning. Rita Spears Wagoner will be greatly missed by all! She was such a free spirit, fun loving, and a great friend to me!! Please say a prayer for her family in the days ahead! RIP Rita, until we meet again! 😇

Announcement From LaFayette High School Class of 1977

LaFayette High School Class of 1977 would like to cordially invite all LHS classes from 1970 - 1979 to attend a special family oriented tailgate event on June 23, 2017 at the old LHS track from 6:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M. This will be a family-friendly event to reconnect former 70’s classmates. Bring your grill or your picnic basket and join us for this event. A vendor will be available for those who want to purchase food at the event.

Bring your family and chairs and enjoy the past on the old LaFayette High School football field and track.
BBQ can be purchased onsite or bring your own food/beverages.

It is with much sadness that I post this, but we have lost another dear classmate. Denise Little Clopton has gone home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. She was a great friend and will be missed by all. RIP Denise, we will see you again!
