Mr. Adam Bandy’s World History class worked on absolute monarch projects today. Students were provided with a primary complex text over an assigned ruler and instructed to search for secondary sources to deepen their knowledge of their assigned monarch, then create a group poster displaying the significant markers of their lives.

Mrs. Molly Austin’s Family Studies class discussed and self-reflected on their values. Mrs. Austin guided a discussion with questions to help students think deeply about what is important to them. Students were assigned a writing task where they had to consider numerous scenarios and stages of life.
Mrs. Austin provides a warm and welcoming environment where students are able to participate in productive conversations and share thoughts with each other.

Mrs. Kayla West’s Basic Nursing class was given an assignment to give a presentation on the career they are choosing for their future. In the presentation they discussed what the profession/career meant to them, roles/responsibilities, fun facts and why they chose this path, whether it was an inspirational story or just an interest. They had to research and found some interesting things about their profession that they didn’t know. Each student did an exceptional job presenting to the class.

In Agriscience, we are going over the history of FFA and the importance and meaning behind the FFA Official Dress. Kids are working in groups to complete a Life Size Official FFA Dress Poster to hang in the classroom to help memorize the different clothing pieces!
Ms. Mary Ellen Copas is currently teaching this class as an interim, and we love seeing the hard work she and the students are putting in. 💙💛

Mr. Coffee’s Biology students are learning all about cells. Mr. Coffee is using vocabulary strategies to anchor student understanding to scientific concepts.

Mr. Pryor’s SDC World History classes are becoming familiar with vocabulary and names to lay a foundation for their upcoming unit.
