🌸🐰 Easter Fun in Early Ed! 🐣🌷

Our Early Ed students had an egg-cellent time celebrating Easter! Ms. Dana’s class enjoyed a fun-filled Easter egg hunt, followed by story time reading Pete the Cat: The Big Easter Adventure. 📚🥚

We also had some extra fun outside, where Mrs. Haley joined in on the smiles and laughter with a swing break! 😊

It was a day full of learning, laughter, and sweet Easter memories. We love seeing our students grow, explore, and celebrate together!

Happy Easter from all of us! 🌼💛

I DID IT! 🙌🏽💪🏽 I got my GED! 🎓

When I first came to FRAN, I didn’t just want my GED for myself—I wanted it for my kids. I’ve always told them, “They can take a lot from you, but they can never take what’s in your head.” Education is the key.

The teachers at FRAN became like family to me. They believed in me, pushed me, and supported me every step of the way. They even had an amazing daycare my kids love and still talk about it, which gave me peace of mind and allowed me to focus fully on my studies. As a mother, that meant everything.

There were many times I felt like giving up—but I kept showing up. And every time I did, I got stronger. Not just as a student, but as a mother, a wife, a friend, and a woman.

If you’re struggling, surround yourself with people who lift you up, who remind you of your purpose, and who push you toward your goals. Don’t give up. You CAN do this.

“I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13

The sky is not the limit—there’s more out there for you. Go get it. 💪🏽💫

Hi! My name is Sherry Broussard and I am a Fran Graduate. I am also a survivor of an abusive marriage that caused me to lose out on the opportunity to graduate with my high school class in 2004. Once freed from that, I’ve always tried my hardest to gain what I lost. I’ve tried other schools but life always happened and no one understood. I can remember running late one day to go to school only to be locked out cause I was late. That discouraged me so much from trying to get my education. Fran has a heart of gold for anyone trying to obtain their HiSet. As busy as my life was with everything I had going on, Fran understood, showed compassion, love and encouragement through all the obstacles. I’ve faced while in their program The teachers are the epitome of what standing by someone’s side really is. They love you and treat you as their own family. Not just in the program even afterwards. If I need them they are only a phone call away. Because of their beautiful heart of gold, to see anyone get an education. I was blessed with the opportunity to walk on stage with my HiSet in 2018. I am currently in college praying for the time I enter the nursing program. Please give them a try! Your life will forever be changed for the better!! I promise you won’t be disappointed if you trust them and allow them to be there for you no matter what you will face in life. I thank God for them daily. I appreciate their love, kindness and support shown to me over the years!! My desire for furthering my education is still within me because of The Fran program!!💜🙌🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽

Grad Spotlight!
Kendria Alexander

My journey has been one of resilience, determination, and purpose. As a mother of three children—ages 12, 10, and 9—I’ve faced the challenges of balancing parenthood, work, and education head-on. I began by enrolling in the FRAN program to earn my HiSET, driven by a deep desire to create more opportunities for my family. While working two jobs, I continued my education and pursued a degree in Administrative Medical Assisting. It wasn’t always easy, but every step I’ve taken has been fueled by my commitment to personal growth and providing a better future for my children. My experiences have taught me how to stay focused under pressure, manage time effectively, and keep moving forward no matter the obstacles. I’m ready to bring that same level of dedication and compassion to my professional career in the healthcare field.

Grad Spotlight!

Hi, my name is Erminia Gast.
I joined the FRAN Family Literacy Program in November 2014 when my youngest daughter was 14 months old. They taught us and took care of our children while we were in classes. With English as my second language, I started from the very beginning, because of the language barrier I couldn’t understand everything that the teachers were teaching us, but with the help of the teachers, I slowly learned and improved my English.
With my perseverance in attending classes and the great help From the teachers and the coordinator who helped me a lot with math in her free time outside of school I was able to graduate in 2021.
FRAN Family Literacy is a great educational program that I would highly recommend.
