United Way of Acadiana Early Head Start (UWA EHS) serves 103 children from birth to 3 years of age and pregnant women.

The program operates two centers, one in Abbeville (Vermilion Parish) and one in Lafayette (Lafayette Parish).

This Friday, Ms. Jenkins and Ms. Imain’s class in the **Orange Room at the Lafayette Center** are putting those little hands to work! 💪🏽✂️

Cutting with scissors helps children build:
✨ Hand strength
✨ Hand-eye coordination
✨ Bilateral coordination
✨ Fine motor control
✨ Focus and concentration

From snipping paper to following lines and shapes, every little cut is a BIG step toward developing independence and school-readiness skills! 🧠💛

It’s **Fine Motor Friday** in the **Orange Room at our Lafayette Center!** 🧡

Every Friday, the children will be learning how to strengthen their little fingers, building coordination, and learning through play!
