ECA's Mandatory Parent & Student Orientation is Aug. 4! Please make arrangements to be attend. Students in Grades 10-12 who ordered the 2025-2026 Yearbook will be able to pick it up, students can pre-order the 2026-2027 yearbook and play schools fees.

NOTE: Graduates of 2026 will have a separate yearbook pickup day that will be announced.

Today, Early College Academy celebrates Juneteenth — a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equality and justice for all. ✨

Juneteenth is observed each year on June 19 and marks the day in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, and informed enslaved Black Americans that they were free — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed by President Abraham Lincoln. 📜🇺🇸

This important day reminds us not only of our nation’s history but also of the strength, perseverance, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history and today. In 2021, Juneteenth became a federal holiday, recognizing its significance nationwide. ❤️🤍💙

At Early College Academy, we believe education plays a powerful role in building understanding, promoting unity, and preparing future leaders to create positive change in their communities and beyond. 📚🌟

Today, the Early College Academy honors the symbol of our nation — the American flag — and the values of freedom, unity, courage, and opportunity that it represents. ⭐🦅

Flag Day is celebrated each year on June 14th because on this day in 1777, the Second Continental Congress officially adopted the Stars and Stripes as the flag of the United States. 🇺🇸✨ President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the first national Flag Day in 1916, and in 1949, Congress officially established June 14th as National Flag Day. 📜⭐

As we celebrate Flag Day, we also recognize the importance of education, leadership, and service to our communities and country. At ECA, we are proud to help prepare future leaders who will continue to make a positive impact both locally and beyond. ❤️💛🦅

Because ECA is housed on the SoLAcc campus, our students are immersed in a true college environment while still in high school. Through dual enrollment courses, our students graduate not only with their high school diplomas, but also with associate’s degrees — giving them a head start on college and career success! 🎉👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
