🎨👀 Eye See Some Amazing Art! 👀🎨

Ms. Hundley’s Art 4 students are showing off their skills with these incredible animal eyes! Students used hyper-detail techniques while focusing on color blending, texture, and value to bring each eye to life.

And just in time for Halloween… with these pieces on display, it always feels like somebody’s watching! 👀🎃

Can you tell which animal is looking at you? 🐾

📚⚜️ A Night Where Literacy Came to Life! ⚜️📚

LJA Literacy Night brought the pages of Finding Someplace to life with a celebration inspired by the book’s Southern and New Orleans themes!

Families enjoyed jambalaya and beignets, live performances by our Fine Arts Academy students, live painting, book giveaways, door prizes, take-home paintings, and book-talk activities to continue the conversation at home. 🎨🎶📖

One of the highlights of the evening was a special Zoom visit from the author, who joined us to answer questions from our students! 💻✨

Books, art, music, food, and conversation all came together for a wonderful night of literacy and community at LJA! 💙
