We're a little late on this one! BIG CONGRATULATONS to Logan Turner for his recent appointment as visiting assistant Professor of Recording Arts for the School of Music at UL Lafayette! We're all very happy for Logan!

Here is his newly posted bio from the School of Music page.

Logan Turner is a musician, composer, recording engineer, and mixing engineer from Lafayette, Louisiana. Mr. Turner's diverse appearances include numerous concerts, events, churches, and festivals, including projects with Festival International, KRVS Radio, and Louisiana Scoring. An active musician and dedicated mentor, he teaches courses in audio production at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

He approaches audio production and critical listening as a deeper form of musical engagement. While rooted in technical process, he believes the craft ultimately develops into an emotional and artistic response, shaping how music is experienced and understood. He is committed to helping future generations of musicians, producers, and engineers recognize the importance of attentive listening, clear communication, and continual learning as an essential part to both technical excellence and artistic growth.

Mr. Turner holds a BM in Music Media and an MM in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Blake Miller is a School of Rock alum and has been playing guitar for over nine years. He recently graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Jazz Studies and is currently playing with the Matt Gary Trio. 🎸🤘 .blake.miller

Well, THIS is cool! Alum, Benjamin (who works at Gruhn guitars in Nashville and just got married!!) is playing a newly upgraded 1952 Martin at the shop. And, he plays Tony Rice's "Church Street Blues" in honor of the observance of his birthday. Nice. 😀

A recent photo of some of the members of the R&B ensemble coached by Lee Allen Zeno. Talented vocalist, Valerie N. is on Mr. Lee's right and next to Valerie is graduating senior guitarist, Jaden P. - who played in that ensemble for a number of semesters. We already miss you, Lee!

Guitar dept, alum, Joseph and his band, Cashier got some attention from Rolling Stone magazine at their SXSW appearance in Austin, TX (including a very Rock & Roll photo of J). 🙂
