Guitar dept, alum, Joseph and his band, Cashier got some attention from Rolling Stone magazine at their SXSW appearance in Austin, TX (including a very Rock & Roll photo of J). 🙂

😞 Three great players gone in a week.

Here are a couple nice shots of recent Traditional Music grad, Ethan playing with Ms. Miller and Ms. Hanks at last year's Festivals Acadiens et Creoles. Ms. Miller is the one with the intimidating stare. 😄

We are profoundly saddened to learn of Elias Barreiro's passing. He was not only a great artist and educator, but a fine human being, as well. We were lucky enough to have him visit a couple of times to do masterclasses with the students here. He was always generous with his time and offered his insight with kindness and compassion. The guitar world has one less bright light among it's contributors tonight. Godspeed, Elias. 😔
