PROMOTING EQUINE HEALTH AND WELFARE FROM THE GROUND UP.... In 2018, he was inducted, as the 141st member, into the International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame.
Foxtail Forge & Farriery is home to Danvers Child, an AFA Certified Journeyman Farrier, based in Indiana. In addition to his home practice, which focuses primarily on dressage, Danvers travels extensively, as a farrier and as a consultant and specialist for farrier concerns. He served as a Farrier Supervisor and Coordinator for the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games and serves as an Official

Another one in the book! I had the opportunity to meet some nice folks, to work on some impressive horses, and to see some awesome shoeing done by my friends and colleagues from around the country. Wishing all safe travels as you find your way home!!

A yesterday or two ago, I met a youngster who impressed me tremendously. I knew then that Chuck was going to “go places” as a farrier; i just didn’t realize where those “places” would be. So it was wonderful to meet up and catch up as he made it back from his latest journey, where he served as the official farrier for jumping and dressage at the Paris Olympics. So proud of this man!!
