🎬 Creativity Takes Center Stage 🎬

This year, LPSS Talented Theatre students at Woodvale Elementary School took storytelling beyond the stage by writing original scripts and producing their own short films. From developing ideas to working as a team behind the camera, these students showcased creativity, collaboration, and dedication every step of the way.

We're proud of the incredible work they accomplished and the opportunities that help students turn their imagination into reality. Be sure to follow the LPSS Gifted & Talented page over the next few days as they share the students' final projects!

🌎 Oh, the Places We Go 🌎

Summer adventures are underway, and schools across LPSS are finding meaningful ways to stay connected with students and families even when classes are not in session. We're excited to share LJ Alleman Fine Arts Magnet Academy's new "Trojan Travels" campaign, inviting students to showcase the places they visit, the experiences they enjoy, and the memories they create throughout the summer.

From nearby destinations to adventures across the country, these shared experiences help strengthen school culture and remind us that learning, growth, and connection happen everywhere.

📊 Planning for Growth 📊

This morning, LPSS high school administrators gathered at the district office to analyze student performance data, identify areas of need, and develop 90-day action plans focused on supporting both teachers and students.

Strong schools are built through intentional planning, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Across LPSS, our leaders are already working to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed when the first bell rings this fall.

📚 New Teacher Summit 📚

LPSS is excited to host the LPSS New Teacher Summit, a two-day professional learning experience designed to support and empower educators in the early stages of their careers. Participants will gain practical, real-world classroom strategies, connect with fellow educators, and learn from nationally recognized speaker and author Darryl Williams, whose work focuses on helping new teachers build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful learning experiences for students.
