Your teacher has a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Intervention, is CPR and First Aid Certified, Licensed, and a Paths to Quality level 3 provider. Message with questions and to set up your interview!

Auntie Em's is open 7:30am-5:00pm M-F

Today we are doing a gross motor craft! The children are moving back and forth, from our texture cutting sensory table to the craft table, cutting desired pieces and gluing them to their papers. This has been a lot of fun!

We had a potluck today and it was delicious. The kids got a lot of joy out of the whole experience... bringing part of the meal, the fancy table setting, and especially the fancy cups (never has so much milk been consumed 😂). These kids helped raise the chicken we ate too!

As I was setting up for craft time, a boy came to sit at the table, with many colored shapes laid out.
Boy: Are we using glue?
Me: Yes.
Boy: Why?

Oh, the question, "Why?" I hear it thousands of times a week. I try to answer this question when I can, but sometimes I ask them what they think. This was one of those times.

Me: Can you think of another way we can get the shapes to stick to the paper?
Boy: No.
Me: Then using glue makes sense.
Boy: ...We could use tape to make them stick.
Me: Yes, we could.

And so we did.
