As we look back on the past school year, we asked our staff to share some of their favorite moments, and their answers remind us just how much there is to celebrate. 💙
From classroom milestones to special events, field trips, friendships, moments of growth, and a special sighting of the 3rd Grade Unicorn, God has been faithful through it all.
Now we want to hear from you! What was your favorite moment from this school year? Share it with us in the comments!

Flashback Friday to a memorable science lesson with our 7th graders! 🐸
In April, students had the opportunity to dissect frogs and take a closer look at different organs from a pig, giving them a hands-on way to explore anatomy and better understand how God’s creation is designed.
A big shoutout to Mr. Leung for providing the “materials” and helping make this such an engaging and unforgettable learning experience for our students!

❤️ Thankful Thursday Staff Spotlight ❤️
This week, we’re thankful for Mrs. Pollard!
Mrs. Pollard is a valued part of our Lafayette Christian community, and we’re grateful for the way she serves our students and families each day.
Tell us why you’re thankful for Mrs. Pollard and the impact she has made in our LCS community! ❤️
Our hallways are quiet now that summer is here, but we’re still smiling thinking about the joyful sound of our 2nd graders singing worship songs during “Worship Wednesday” this past school year.
Every Wednesday, these students ended the school day lifting their voices in praise, and what a beautiful reminder it was of the heart of our school.
We are so thankful for our teachers and the many ways they bring Jesus into the everyday—through lessons, conversations, prayers, encouragement, and moments of worship like this. What a gift it is for our students to see and experience faith woven into each school day.
Most of all, we thank God for the privilege of being able to worship Him openly at our school.
As summer continues, we hope our students and families are finding lots of ways to worship God wherever they are. 🎶

Summer break is here! ☀️
Before school let out, we asked some of our staff and students what they were looking forward to this summer — from trips and time with family to rest, fun, and new adventures.
Enjoy this sweet glimpse of the plans, hopes, and excitement our Lafayette Christian family is carrying into summer!
This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
As we look back on this year’s See You At the Pole gathering, this moment feels especially meaningful: our students lifting their voices in worship as the American flag begins to wave above them.
We are grateful for the freedoms we have, mindful of the sacrifice that made them possible, and reminded that our hope rests in the greatness of God.
“How great is our God, sing with me…”
May we remember with gratitude today. 🇺🇸

🏁 In honor of the Indy 500 today, we’re throwing it back to an unforgettable 4th grade field trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! 🏎️✨
Our students had an amazing time visiting one of Indiana’s most iconic landmarks, learning about the history and excitement of racing, and experiencing the Speedway up close. From class photos in front of the famous IMS sign to our students taking part in the legendary tradition of kissing the bricks, it was a day full of smiles, memories, and Hoosier pride!
What a special way to connect classroom learning with a piece of Indiana history. Start your engines — these 4th graders had a field trip to remember! 🏁❤️

Today is one of those days that carries so much feeling.
Last night, we watched our 8th graders walk out of their graduation ceremony, stepping from one beautiful chapter into the next. This morning, our whole school gathered in chapel and sang The Blessing over them — a prayer of God’s favor, peace, and presence as they go.
And while that blessing was sung over our graduates, it is truly our prayer for every student, every family, every teacher, and every person who has been part of this school year.
As we say goodbye to another year, we feel the weight of all it held: the growth, the friendships, the hard days, the joyful moments, the prayers whispered, the lessons learned, and the ways God has been faithful through it all.
It is bittersweet to close this chapter. We will miss the daily rhythms, the full hallways, the chapel songs, the classroom laughter, and the students who have filled this year with so much life. But we also send each of you into summer with grateful hearts and a prayer of blessing.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you. May His presence go before you, behind you, beside you, all around you, and within you.
Happy summer, LCS family. You are loved, you are prayed for, and we are so grateful for another year together.
