💜🐅💛 Meet our New Faculty and Staff 💛🐅💜

Originally from Kaplan, Danie Adams has called Lafayette home for the past 12 years and is a proud graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned her degree in Secondary Education. She comes to CCS with great classroom experience, having previously taught English and Theatre at David Thibodaux STEM Academy.

When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll likely find her on stage or behind the scenes! A dancer since age 3, Ms. Adams has performed in over 24 plays and musicals since middle school, frequently with CYT Lafayette, and works as a local choreographer for area theatre companies.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to teach at this wonderful school, and for the chance to help students grow in Christ-like character in both heart and mind.”

We are so excited to bring her passion for literature and the performing arts to our middle school students.

Welcome, Danie! 💜🐅💛

💜🐅💛 Meet our New Faculty and Staff 💛🐅💜

Born and raised right down the road in Opelousas, Ms. Diesi is a proud graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart and LSU. She brings a wealth of Catholic school teaching experience to our campus, having previously shared her love of learning at St. John Elementary in Plaquemine, St. Mark’s in Shreveport, and Berchmans Academy in Grand Coteau.

Family is at the heart of everything she does! She is the proud mom of two wonderful adult children—her daughter, Mary Elise (23), who lives in Shreveport, and her son, Chandler (21), who is beginning his senior year at LSU.

Ms. Diesi moved to Lafayette this past February and is loving every minute of being here—especially now that she’s joining our CCS family!
“I absolutely love teaching and feel truly blessed to do something every day that I enjoy. I know Cathedral is a very special place, and I am so grateful to now be a part of this wonderful community.”

Welcome, Rachel! 💜🐅💛

🫧🍩 Breakfast & Bubbles! 🍩🫧

We loved welcoming our newest Pre-K Tigers and their parents to campus just before the start of school! 💜

Our new friends enjoyed donuts and refreshments, played on the playground, and had the sweetest morning getting to know one another. We’re so excited to welcome these little Tigers to the CCS family and can’t wait to see all the fun this year will bring! 🐯✨

Last Friday morning was filled with energy, joy, and a strong sense of community within our House System.

We announced the overall house winner for the 2025-2026 school year: HOUSE OF MARK ❤️

We acknowledged the Golden Tigers (top earners) in each house: Elliot D., Arden B., Louise B., and Lauren W., who was also recognized for earning the most service hours!

Lastly, our 4th graders were officially sorted into one of the four CCS houses—Mark, Matthew, Luke, or John. ❤️💙💛💚

Last night’s FCA Dinner was such a special time bringing students and parents together. We were honored to hear from Coach Dane Adams, who challenged us to live with grit, make intentional choices, and keep Christ at the center of it all.
We are grateful for a community that supports our athletes not just in the field, but in their faith and character.
